Ffynonwen is ideally situated to explore the many delights of the West Wales coast, walking, bird watching, fishing or just relaxing on the beach.
It is in the coastal village of Aberporth and a couple of miles from the charming market town of Cardigan.
A circular walk passes Ffynonwen down to the two sandy coves of Aberporth where you may spot dolphins and seals. Several local beaches are suitable for dogs.
Aberporth itself boasts two sandy beaches, two pubs (one dog friendly) together with cafes and shops. The neighbouring hamlet, Tresiath, boasts another sandy beach and a pub/restaurant with panoramic sea views. Tresiath can be reached by a coastal path from Aberporth.
Cardigan is our market town which still has a number of small independent traders. Cardigan has its own castle, open to the public, and a museum. The Teifi river runs through the town.
Poppet sands is situated at the estuary some 3 miles the other side of St Dogmaels, Cardigan's river sister. St Dogmaels is home to a Benedictine Abbey which is open to the public.
